Delete your NayaPurana account
You can delete your NayaPurana account, and the data attached to it, at any time. There are two ways to do it.
From the app
- Open NayaPurana and sign in.
- Go to Menu → Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
The same option is on the website at nayapurana.shop/settings.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, email support@nayapurana.shop from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. We action these within 30 days.
Before you can delete
Two things block deletion, because deleting through them would erase somebody else's record of a trade or a debt we owe you:
- Orders in progress. Any order you are buying or selling must reach completed or refunded first.
- Money still owed to you. If your wallet holds a balance, email support@nayapurana.shop and we will pay it out to your bank account before deleting.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes all of the following from NayaPurana:
- Your profile — name, username, email, password, bio, profile picture
- Your phone number and shipping address
- Your listings and their photos, and your favourites and follows
- Your conversations, messages and offers
- Your orders, reviews and wallet history
- Your identity documents (CNIC number and images) if you verified as a seller
- Your payout bank details
- Your notifications and push notification tokens
What is kept, and for how long
- Copies of your data remain in our encrypted database backups until those are overwritten. Backups are replaced nightly and are never kept longer than 30 days.
- Image files you uploaded may remain in our image storage after your account is removed, where they are no longer linked to you or reachable from the app. Email us if you want them erased straight away.
- Records we are required to keep by Pakistani law — for example tax or fraud records relating to a completed sale — are retained for as long as the law requires and are not used for anything else.
